When putting, we should be a passive observer of the stroke.
Trying to make a good stroke is like trying to grow your fingernails.
Aim to occupy your mind with a vivid picture of how you’d like the ball to roll to enter the hole.
Play around with your routine until you find a comfortable trigger which allows you to transition from your planning phase to your stroke.
Even during the stroke, we stick with our visual. This visualization eclipses the temptation to interfere with the stroke.
The stroke is educated by your experience and your plan, it requires no additional input during the motion.
If you find yourself trying to make a good stroke, you’re chasing your tail.
It is spooky how well you can putt if you shift your mindset.
Happy putting!
